This route follows the paths of “Es amunts”, until it reaches five natural caves that hide a legend inside. The story goes that a Sicilian weaver was in them for a long time looking for treasures that he thought were hidden. This gold rush spread to the locals, until the Holy Inquisition had to intervene to stop the situation.
This story dates back to 1664, but today we find a completely different treasure than what was sought at that time. We find impressive geological formations and views of an immense bay that will not leave you indifferent. And hopefully, we will still find some gold, who knows?
The first part of the route runs along well-marked and accessible paths, but it is in the last section that it becomes quite complicated due to the steep slope and the deterioration of the path. It is a recommended route for hikers who already have a base of knowledge and are minimally trained.
