Where to watch the solar eclipse in Ibiza?
The eclipse will be visible from any location on the western side of Ibiza with a clear view of the sunset.
Our experience, however, is designed to take you far away from the busy viewpoints and crowded areas. We will hike to a hidden and remote location where we can experience the eclipse in peace, surrounded only by nature, silence, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Is hiking experience required?
A basic level of hiking experience is recommended. The route will not be excessively difficult, but it does include uneven terrain, elevation changes, and some technical sections along the trail.
What happens if there are clouds?
August is usually a month with predominantly clear skies in Ibiza. However, weather is always unpredictable.
Even if there are clouds, the experience can still be incredibly beautiful. Although the Sun may not be fully visible at times, the dramatic change in light during the eclipse will still be clearly noticeable across the sky, creating a unique and unforgettable atmosphere over the island and the sea.
How long is the hike?
The duration of the hike will depend on the pace of the group, but it will most likely take around one hour each way.
The overall experience, however, will last much longer, as we will arrive at the location well before the eclipse begins in order to fully enjoy the atmosphere and the changing light conditions leading up to totality.
