FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN CONTACT US VIA EMAIL, WHATSAPP OR BY VISITING OUR CONTACT PAGE. HOWEVER, HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE
Do the routes include insurance, or do I need to purchase it separately?
Don’t worry! When booking our routes, you will be covered by accident insurance in case anything happens. If you already have your own insurance, ours will still apply.
What happens if the weather is bad and the activity is canceled? Will I get a refund?
Safety is our top priority. If adverse weather conditions make it unsafe to carry out the route, we will offer you a full refund or the option to reschedule for another day.
We consider adverse conditions to include:
- Orange alert for heavy rains or thunder storms.
- Orange alert for strong winds, when the route involves walking close to cliffs.
- Orange alert for high waves which may prevent access to certain areas of the route.
Cloudy days, light or moderate wind, moderate sea waves, or light rain do not qualify as adverse weather conditions.
IMPORTANT: WE WILL WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT TO CANCEL THE EXPERIENCE IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER, UNLESS THE FORECAST IS EXTREMELY UNFAVORABLE (ORANGE ALERT FROM AEMET).
What is your refund policy?
- Up to 10 days before the route date: Full refund.
- Up to 5 days before: 50% refund.
- Up to 2 days before: 25% refund.
- Less than 48 hours before, or no-show: No refund.
A client is considered a no-show if they do not arrive at the meeting point within 30 minutes after the scheduled time, without prior justification.
Do I need technical mountain equipment for the routes?
In general, sturdy footwear with good grip is sufficient. If you plan to carry a heavy backpack, we recommend hiking poles to help distribute the weight and reduce fatigue or injury.
Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and a snack to maintain energy levels.
We reserve the right to cancel the activity if participants are not properly prepared (e.g., inadequate footwear, under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs physical abilities).
Is previous hiking experience required?
No, but having some basic hiking knowledge is recommended. Our routes are available at low, intermediate, and high difficulty levels.
Do I need to be in good physical condition?
You don’t need a specific level of fitness. Our activities are adapted to suit different needs and abilities, and each route clearly states its difficulty level.
How do you classify route difficulty?
We use two indicators: technical difficulty and physical difficulty.
Technical Difficulty:
- Easy: Suitable for everyone, no risks.
- Moderate: Some challenges (e.g., steep descents, rocky terrain), but minimal risk. Some sections may require ropes, but they are simple.
- Difficult: Includes steep descents, unstable terrain, and some dangerous areas for those with vertigo. A basic level of hiking experience is recommended. Some sections require ropes.
- Extreme: Recommended only for experienced hikers with no fear of heights.
Physical Difficulty:
The higher the level, the better physical condition is required. However, physical exertion also depends on the pace, which we can adjust.
Are there age resctrictions?
Some routes are not suitable for children due to safety concerns. Older participants are welcome, but suitability depends on the specific route and individual capability. Our hiking page lists child-friendly routes.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs! However, some routes are not dog-friendly due to difficult terrain that may pose a risk to them.
Each hiking route description indicates whether dogs are allowed. If bringing your dog, please ensure they are well-behaved and obedient to avoid any issues.
If a dog’s behavior is disruptive or unsafe, we may have to cancel the experience.
Do the routes include digital content?
Yes! We offer professional photography and video services for an additional fee. Our photographer uses a professional camera and GoPro to capture your experience. You’ll receive the edited photos within a few hours or days after the hike.
What is the best time of year for these hikes?
IIbiza offers great hiking conditions year-round. Each season has its own charm, and we adjust schedules based on seasonal weather conditions.
How long does each activity last?
Each route has a specified duration, but this is approximate and may vary depending on stops, group pace, and other factors.
Will I receive photography training on photography routes?
Yes! Our photography routes are designed for photographers. In addition to exploring some of the island’s best locations, you’ll learn landscape photography techniques along the way.
How do the optional garbage cleanups work?
This is voluntary, but we encourage participants to help keep Ibiza clean. If you’d like to contribute, we will provide a bag so you can collect litter along the route and help “the counter” keep growing!
