The Sailor’s Bay hike follows one of the most impressive coastal stretches in northern Ibiza, along paths that run beside the sea and offer constant views of the cliffs and the Mediterranean. A route where the landscape takes centre stage and every step reveals new panoramas of the coastline.
This is a mainly coastal hike, where the terrain adds a touch of physical challenge that makes it especially appealing. Without being a difficult hike, it combines uphill and downhill sections that bring dynamism to the route and turn the walk into an active and rewarding experience, ideal for those who enjoy hikes that ask a little more while remaining accessible.
Along the way, the Sailor’s Bay hike offers the opportunity to swim in two crystal-clear coves. These seaside breaks allow you to regain energy, cool off, and enjoy the surroundings at a relaxed pace, balancing effort with moments of rest.
THE SAILOR’S BAY FEATURES
This hike has two variants, one shorter than the other. Even so, the overall level of difficulty does not differ greatly between them, bearing in mind that the longer option is always more physically demanding. However, it is important to note that we will encounter steep slopes and slippery terrain, so a minimum level of hiking experience is required.
The shorter version is linear, returning along the same path. From a technical point of view, it is not demanding, although there are always some sections that can be slightly slippery due to the terrain.
In this case, the longer version is circular and adds a significant amount of distance, as it includes extra kilometres through the forest, offering different views in addition to those along the coast. Technically, it is a bit more complex than the shorter option, and it also requires better physical condition to complete.
