cave of light
book nowA CAVE FOR DREAMING
We present to you a geological marvel, the Cave of Light: a sinkhole formed by the collapse of coastal cliffs. At its base lies the Mediterranean Sea, which flows in through an underground passage connecting the cave to the open ocean.
During the spring and summer months, sunlight filters into the cave, creating a luminous beam in the midst of darkness. It’s important to time your visit carefully, as this phenomenon doesn’t occur throughout the entire day. We know exactly when the light starts to appear!
In addition to being a stunning spot for hiking and swimming in the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, it’s also an idyllic location for freediving and recreational scuba diving. If you have experience in either of these activities, don’t hesitate to contact us to enhance your adventure.

CAVE OF LIGHT FEATURES
The hike is technical in some sections, especially during the descent. The ascent can be very challenging for individuals who are not used to intense physical effort.
The cave has a bad reputation for being dangerous due to numerous news reports about people who have jumped from the top and become trapped. However, if you follow the guide’s instructions, you can enjoy the site without any risk.
Jumping into the cave is strictly prohibited by the local government. Entry from the sea may be considered, but only if the guide decides it is safe to do so.
